Sarah and Mathias Wedding: Part 1- Ceremony

I'm sooo excited to finally be featuring this wedding!  It has probably been one of my favorites this year!  Not only was the wedding gorgeous, but Sarah and Mathias were such an amazing couple to work with.  I actually did most of the planning for this wedding with Patti, Sarah's mother, since Sarah lived out of town.  I have just grown to love her entire family and feel so blessed to have been a part of their amazing day.  All of the images are from their wonderful photographer, Angela Disrud.  While I had met with Angela before, this was my first event to work with her.  She is such a professional, and I think you will see a very talented one at that.  

The wedding took place at Sarah's parents' home on June 6.  The weather could not have been any more perfect!  Such a gorgeous day and a beautiful event. 

This was the pool house that was built to host the reception for the wedding.  Patti designed all of the landscaping around the property and it was just perfect.  It looked as if it had been there for years.

Some photos from the ceremony.  One of the family's friends actually hand painted these signs.  Are they not adorable?  I just love all the details.

The ceremony took place next to the house by the garden overlooking the horse farm.  It just created the perfect atmosphere.  All of the rentals were done by Music City Tents and Events and the flowers were done by Terry White of the English Garden.

After the ceremony, the wedding party enjoyed a champagne toast on the back patio of the house.

Sarah's Bridal Portraits

So this wedding season has been CRAZY to say the least and I have lots of events to update.  These are some of my favorite bridal portraits taken by the wonderful and very talented Angela Disrud of Sarah, whose wedding was back in June.  These are a long time coming, but so worth the wait.  She is just gorgeous and I can't wait to share these.  These were taken at the home of Sarah's parents (also the wedding location).  You will be amazed how gorgeous this property is.  It is simple breath-taking. Ashley and Scott: Rehearsal Dinner 6/12/09

I had the pleasure of working with such an amazingly sweet couple a few weekends back for their wedding and rehearsal dinner.  I always love getting to be part of the rehearsal dinner because you get to see the couple interacting with their friends and loved ones, and there are always some touching moments.  Ashley and Scott were no different.  Ashley and Scott have truly been one of my favorite couples to work with.  They are such a blast and you can genuinely see their love for each other in everything they do.  They are so adorable, and their wedding was just gorgeous. 

I wanted to post some pictures from their perfectly themed rehearsal dinner.  *Disclaimer: These are my personal photos and I do not in any way pretend to be a photographer.  So I hope I can do it justice....

Of course, their wedding was during the week of Country Music Fest in downtown Nashville, so it was only appropriate that their wedding should have some what of a "country" theme to it.  It was really a great way for them to showcase Nashville and country music for all of their out of town guests. 

The rehearsal dinner was held at the Belle Meade Plantation in the Carriage House.  Whenever I see the pictures "State Fair" comes to mind.  The theme was so traditionally country with all of the details from the red checked linens and street lighting to the BBQ buffet, and the best of country music playing in the background all night.  The guests loved all of the wonderful details and you could tell they both put a lot of thought into every aspect .  Their hard work paid off.  It was picture perfect.

   

 

 

 

 

 

The adorable table linens from BBJ Linens went perfectly with their country theme.  They also found the rooster centerpieces on sale from Hobby Lobby.  The lighting along with the country music playing in the background set the mood perfectly.  Both were provided by Nashville Event Lighting.

 

 

 

 

 

The yummy food for the buffet was provided by Jim N' Nicks BBQ.  (P.S.- If you have never eaten at Jim N' Nicks- you simply must go to one of their three locations in Middle Tennessee.  It is worth the drive.)

 

The adorable pig centerpieces were also purchased at Hobby Lobby and adorned with matching yellow and red daisies. 

 

 

Please check out these chocolate brownies.  They make me hungry just looking at them.  Not to mention the pecan pie and lemon squares.  Oh my!

The bar for the night was also perfectly themed offering some of the south's most traditional drinks such as Sweet Tea, Lemonade, and locally brewed beer from Yazoo Brewery.

This is one of my favorite shots of Scott getting some last minute advice from his father before the Big Day!

 

Notice the cowboy boots! (Scott loves a good theme.)  The best part is that the only two people wearing cowboy boots were him and his dad who is from upstate New York.  I love it!

I had to include these pictures taken by one of Scott's groomsmen for him.  Before the rehearsal, the groomsmen enjoyed lunch at The Dog of Nashville which Scott swears is the best place to get a hot dog.  I have yet to try it, but just check out these hot dogs.

Ashlie and Andre's Wedding

I had such a blast this past weekend doing a wedding for Ashlie and Andre at Scarritt Bennett Center.  They are such an amazing couple and their wedding was such a hit.  I wanted to share of few of their adorable engagement photos from the very talented Jenna Henderson, while the photos are being finished.  Congratulations Ashlie and Andre!  We loved working with both of you!  Enjoy!

 

 

 

Sarah and Mathias- June 6, 2009

I wanted to share some of the engagement photos from our June 6 wedding this year:  Sarah and Mathias.  These were taken by Mary Linden in Raleigh, NC, where Sarah currently lives. 

Sarah is one of my many brides this year who lives out of town, so most of the planning has been done over the phone or emails and with a lot of assistance from her mother, Patti.  I have had such an amazing time planning this wedding so far, and can't wait until June 6 to see it all come together.  It is going to be a truly amazing event with some of the best vendors in Nashville.  Until then, enjoy some of their beautiful engagement photos. 

 

 

  

Lacey and Sean

Lacey and Sean were married on February 13, 2009 at The First Baptist Churchin Donelson followed by a reception at The Buchanan House.  I have known Lacey for quite a long time and so when her mother asked if I could help them with her wedding, I was delighted.  They are such a sweet couple, and I enjoyed every minute of their beautiful day together.  Enjoy these pictures taken by  Hodges and Powell Photography. 

  

Did I mention Lacey is a hair dresser and just could not help herself from doing the bridesmaids' hair.  I love it!

 

Her wedding gown had a very unique vintage look, which fit her perfectly.  She looked absolutely stunning.  Her gown came from The White Room located in Lebanon, TN.

 

 

 

 

The bridesmaids' dresses came from David's Bridal.  I loved the rich purple and hot pink combination for a nice spin on a Valentine's theme.  The flowers were done by Fresh by CarryAnn.

Sean and Lacey actually had a spin on the traditional ways that vows are done.  Instead of having their back to the congregation, they had the preacher stand on the floor and they faced everyone.  It was a special touch for the intimate gathering that it was.  I thought it was a nice way to connect with their family and friends.  It also gave everyone a chance to get a glimpse of some special "tear-jerking" moments between the two of the during their vows. 

 

I loved the simplicity of the candle light in the background.  It was very fitting for their ceremony.

I love this picture.  I think every couple can relate to this feeling on their wedding day- just taking a moment to reflect and enjoy each other.  So sweet!

Elizabeth and Nick: Engagement Session

I wanted to share some photos from Elizabeth and Nick's engagement session.  The photos were taken by Ray Sandusky.  Elizabeth and Nick are getting married on September 5, 2009.

Elizabeth and Derrick: Part 2

The beautiful reception took place at the Bellemeade Plantation in the Carriage House. (Fun Fact: One of Martha Stewart's team was getting married on this same day and contacted the Carriage House to see if Elizabeth would consider moving her date.  Of course, she did not- but what a neat story for her to tell all of her friends.)

  

The up-lighting in the room was provided by Nashville Event Lighting.  It gave the room a warm glow that fit in perfectly with their color scheme and the time of year.

  

The centerpieces were created by Mitchell White and added such an elegant look to the room.  He also did the very gorgeous centerpiece you see above hanging from the center of the room.  I love how she used such rich earth tones to accent the southern feel of the barn.   

 

 

 

The incredible music for the evening was provided by The Blue Tones.

The gorgeous cake was designed by The Bake Shoppe and the catering was done by A Catered Affair.  These are two of my favorite companies.  Not only do they have amazing food, but the presentation of the food is beautiful as well.

The GOBO was done by Nashville Event Lighting.  This is one of my favorite elements of the wedding because it can be seen in several elements of the night including the programs and the guest favors.

   

  

 

 

 

The beautiful vintage Jaguar was provided by Matchless Limousines.

Elizabeth and Derrick (Part 1)

Elizabeth and Derrick were such a delightful couple to work with.  Their wedding was an absolutely gorgeous event with the "southern touch" that fits them both perfectly.  Elizabeth is from Cookeville, TN, and her and her mother were both adorable with all of their southern charm.  I wanted to go back and do a recap of this beautiful September Wedding.  The ceremony was held at the Scarritt Bennett Center's Wightman Chapel followed by a reception at the Belle Meade Plantation Carriage House. 

I wanted to share some of these beautiful photos taken by her photographer, Kellie Fitzpatrick of Red Letter Days.   Her ceremony music was provided by The Nashville Chamber Players.

I love the different height levels used with the floral arrangements and candles.  It created such a nice look.  That along with the beautiful string trio provided by the Nashville Chamber Players created the perfect atmostphere for the ceremony.

Ashlie and Andre announced their engagement.  They are getting married on June 27, 2009 at the Scarritt Bennett Center.  They are such an amazing couple!  We can't wait to share in their special day.
